Tea Leaf Green exploded out of a revitalized San Francisco music scene after winning the "Song of the Year" Jammy award for their last studio release Taught to be Proud. Thanks to their loyal, rabid, and growing fan base, the road warriors consistently fill venues across this wide country and have been enthusiastically received on the festival circuit with stand-out performances at Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, moe.down, High Sierra, and Jam in the Dam. The band's chops earned the respect of their musical contemporaries and they have been found sharing the stage with The Dave Matthews Band, Trey Anastasio, Gov't Mule, Bruce Hornsby, John Popper, Bob Weir, and Sean Lennon among others. |

After spending an evening with John Valby,Audiences find themselves wanting more and more of him. What makes Valby so unique and entertaining is his uncommon rapport with the audience and his ability to mix his musical Talent with a mad-cap variety of "Dirty Ditties".Few people can resist laughing at songs that would have earned them a mouthful of soap when they were children.Valby's repertoire is composed of popular songs, limericks, classical arrangments and his own original creations.Valby has made a career out of poking fun at his audiences, stretching the limits of free speech and accepted good taste and satirizing current events from behind the piano. |

A melting-pot of laid-back melodies, hip-hop rhythms and acoustic guitars, Shwayze’s self-titled debut [Suretone/Geffen Records] pays homage to an all-day-and-into-the-night party lifestyle colored by the rolling tides of his hometown beaches, and the rolling papers that flavor the proceedings. “Buzzin’” splashes Cisco’s roots-rock acoustic-guitar and vocal tapestry with Shwayze’s cooler-than-a-sea-breeze hip-hop delivery. Says the rapper, “It’s a new West Coast sound, it’s California chill, West Coast stoner music.” Case in point? “Don’t Be Shy.” “It’s about Malibu being like an endless summer. Cisco came up with the hook and the ‘da-don-don, da-don-don-don’t be shy’ part. I came up with the verses about a couple of chicks I was into. It’s about wanting summer to come back, waiting for the sun and kicking it on the beach.”

Performing Against Me! songs as well as songs from Tom's new solo debut "Heart Burns"!
A decade ago, Tom Gabel began his music career as a 17-year old solo acoustic act known as Against Me!, belting out songs of rebellion in Laundromats and any other venue that would have him. Flash forward to today, and Gabel's agitation cycle is still cranked high, but not without a wild streak of optimism thrown in for good measure. For the past five years, the gravelly roar of the vocalist/guitar player has been part of a thunderous and thoughtful foursome featuring Andrew Seward (bass), Warren Oakes (drums) and James Bowman (guitar), still doing business under the Against Me! moniker. Churning out a distinctive blend of punk, rock, and even folk that is impossible to label, they have toured all 50 states and foreign lands from Iceland to Australia, forging an intense connection with their growing legions of fans.

In June of 2006, Job For A Cowboy signed to noted underground metal label Metal Blade Records and prepared to record their debut full length. Recorded at Blue Light Audio Media in Phoenix, AZ with producer Cory Spotts and mixed by the Grammy winning Andy Sneap (Opeth, Entombed, Megadeth), “Genesis” is set to turn the extreme music world on its collective ear. Anticipation for Genesis is such that the band has already been named one of "Metal's Most Important Troops for 2007" by Metal Hammer, one of Total Guitar's "Hottest Guitar Bands of 2007", one of Alternative Press' 2007 "Bands You Need to Know" and one of Revolver's "Breakthrough Bands that will be Kicking Your Ass this Year".

Benefit Concert for Eric Mikula ft. Punchline |
|
|
with special guests:
The Victory Year, Logic (Reunion), Elephant (members of Wings of Azrael), & The Catastrophe (members of Punchline and Five O'Clock Charlie)
After being involved in an auto accident this past August, 26 year old Eric Mikula, a graduate of Belle Vernon High School found himself in critical condition with no health insurance, a fractured skull, and two broken ribs. Doctors diagnosed him with possible loss of memory or even brain damage. Thankfully, today Eric is in much better condition and he walked himself out of the hospital. What was waiting for him were loving family and friends, a year’s worth of physical therapy, and an enormous amount of medical bills which are just piling up. Five of Mikula's favorite bands wanted to get together to perform a well deserved concert in his honor and help raise money for him and his family. Appropriately, Belle Vernon High School has welcomed the benefit with open arms and has agreed to allow the concert to perform in their school auditorium.

Frontiers: The Journey Tribute |
|
|
Frontiers | The Journey Tribute is the world's premiere tribute to the 80's rock pioneers. Yes, that Journey – the ones responsible for selling over 75 million records, including some of rock's most venerable anthems - the Journey rebuffed by critics and the musical establishment, even as those very critics secretly kept “Don’t Stop Believin’” in their Walkmans and saved a special place for “Faithfully” in their mix tape collection. No one ruled the road from 1979-1983 like Journey. Twenty-five years after that iconic lineup last graced the stage, Frontiers has carried on the banner of separate ways, summer lovin’, and open arms. As a tribute act, few - if any - have such a colorful back-story that blurs the line between tribute and the "real deal." |

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals |
|
|
The band’s timeless, organic brand of American rock & roll is fully in evidence throughout This Is Somewhere, starting with “Ah Mary,” with its languid verses exploding into arena-scaled choruses in what is clearly a call to action. This heart-pumping rocker sets the stage for a dynamic song cycle that encompasses “Stop the Bus,” a churning anthem that recalls Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers circa Damn the Torpedoes, the love-as-war lament “Apologies,” the paean to a battered New Orleans “Ain’t No Time,” the soulful, horn-accented “Mastermind” and the concluding stunner “Big White Gate.” Potter’s timely and eloquent songs—some of them intensely personal, others politically charged—immediately lodge themselves in the listener’s head (pretty much defining the de rigueur term “sticky”) and bore in deeper with each successive play. |

Rootsy folk-rock sextet Donna the Buffalo formed in 1987 in Ithaca, NY. The group's three vocalists -- Tara Nevins, who also plays fiddle, guitar, and accordion; guitarist Jeb Puryear; and keyboardist Joe Thrift -- add another layer of diversity to the group's eclectic and often socially conscious sound. Guitarist Jim Miller, drummer Tom Gilbert, and bassist Jed Greenberg complete the ensemble. Donna the Buffalo started touring almost immediately after they formed, and they continue to do extensively. The group is a regular attraction at festivals like Merlefest and Telluride, and has also shared the stage with likeminded artists such as 10,000 Maniacs, Los Lobos, and Rusted Root. |

As the young brother of one of Rock n’ Roll’s most resepected frontmen, Adam Kowalczyk has grown to recognize different sides of the music business and the touring industry. Since 1999, Adam has toured the world’s stages from mid-sized venues to sold out stadiums (Woodstock 2004, Werchter, Hasselt Pukkelpop Festivals, Rotterdam Ahoy, Nijmegen Hoffert Park, etc.) alongside Ed Kowalczyk playing rhythm guitar and singing background for LIVE. He has also performed as a studio musician on LIVE’s album releases entitled, “The Distance to Here” “V” “Awake-The Best of Live” and the new release, “Radiant Sea.” On the other side of this spectrum sits Adam’s solo career and the proof of his inner markings as an artist, the cultivation of his “voice.”

Crashing Metropolis is a rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Formed in August 2006 when vocalist Mike Geary joined musicians Michael Kesneck, Jeff Skalyo and Mark Grode for a lead singer audition at their practice space in Pittsburgh, PA. Geary had applied for the lead singer position through a local online classified ad. After spending the next 10 months writing original music and recording demos, the band hit the stage and began playing live shows. After a year of playing live shows and perfecting the sound of Crashing Metropolis, the band began work for their debut album with Producer Sean McDonald of Sofa King Music Services in the summer of 2008. The bands original songs “It Won’t Be Long,” “Bite Your Tongue,” and “Wasted,” featured in demo format on their Myspace page, will be three of the songs featured on the new album due out this fall. |

The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. In the years that followed, many of the Steps ignored the conventional wisdom ("Don't quit your day job!"), and although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together the performers have worked in a total of eighteen Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience. Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded 28 albums, including their latest, Camaign and Suffering . They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard 4 times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials. |

The music of Gramsci Melodic came together in the spring of 2006, when singer/guitarist Martin began releasing demos to various websites using the Gramsci name. A significant internet following emerged and Martin decided to leave local post-punk outfit, buRgundy juRk, in December of that year. Gramsci Melodic was founded in January of 2007 and consisted of performance veterans Sean (drums), Tony (bass), Greg (keyboards), and Joel “The Duke” York (synthesizers).
Their sound has been described as funkyish alternative, pop-laden rock, electronic folk, adapted new wave, A.D.D. jam music and intelligent melodic biography. Firmly believing that it doesn’t matter what it’s called, but rather, how it sounds, the band members display ambivalence towards each of these labels.

To be funky, to be soulful, to be jazzy: The Boogie Hustlers want to be all of these things and more, and have proven themselves many times on the live circuit in the last few years. Anytime there is a discussion about "genuine bands" playing "real" music, The Boogie Hustlers are often mentioned, but do they quality? Are they exceptional, and for the most part, do they know how to burn a groove? It depends on what you feel the exception is, but as they show on True Colors, they definitely come shining through. |

Native Import is a hard working and hard-hitting four-piece rock ‘n roll band based in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The band members each come from different walks of life as well as different parts of the world. This mixture of culture and ideas is what creates their unique and amazing sound – a sound that is very hard to categorize, but even harder to ignore. Their influences include classic bands such as Black Sabbath, Cream, and Rush, as well as newer bands such as Primus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Modest Mouse. No matter how you describe their sound, Native Import is a sonic assault that leaves a resonation within the listener. |
